When ModCloth co-founders Susan Gregg Koger and Eric Koger bought their San Francisco home in 2005, it was in dire need of an update. So the couple decided to add their signature touch of vintage style to the 2,200-square-foot space instead, decorating with pieces from their extensive personal collections and giving many of them an overhaul to make them fresh again. ModCloth even has its own furniture line called Vintage Modern Furniture which features items from the San Francisco home and other beloved pieces from the couple’s enormous collections.
Erika, Eric, and David’s space in Union Square
The first thing you notice when you walk into Erika, Eric, and David’s San Francisco home is the colorful art on the walls. Every inch of this space is full of personality, from the quirky kitchen to the eclectic living room. It’s clear that these three entrepreneurs have put their own spin on traditional design. And we love it!
Interior Design Features by Room
The living room features floor-to-ceiling windows, a brick fireplace, and an eclectic mix of furniture. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. The bedroom has a cozy feeling with a four-poster bed and lots of pillows. The bathroom is spacious and includes a clawfoot tub. The office is filled with natural light and ModCloth-branded items throughout. There are two guest bedrooms on the lower level that have separate entrances from the street. And the backyard provides plenty of space for a pool and other outdoor activities!

The living room is the heart of any home, and that’s especially true for the home of ModCloth founders Susan Gregg Koger and Eric Koger. The room is bright and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light. The furniture is eclectic and fun, reflecting the couple’s personality. The centerpiece of the room is a beautiful piano that Susan loves to play.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The kitchen and dining area of the home is light and airy, with a white-washed brick wall as a backsplash behind the stove. The rest of the walls are a warm cream color, and there are hardwood floors throughout. The dining table is a long farmhouse-style table with mismatched chairs around it. The whole space has a very homey and comfortable feel to it.
Garden and Patio Area
The garden and patio area of the home is really what makes it special. The founders had the idea to create a space that would be both functional and beautiful, and they definitely succeeded. The garden is perfect for entertaining guests or just relaxing after a long day. There’s even a fire pit for making s’mores! The patio area is also great for hosting parties or BBQs. It’s definitely a unique space that reflects the founders’ personality and style.

It’s a busy pattern of pink and green flowers, and it’s definitely something you wouldn’t expect to find in a typical San Francisco home. But that’s just one of the things that makes this home so special. The bathroom is also full of quirky details, like a clawfoot tub and an antique sink. Even the toilet is a work of art, with a floral design painted on the lid.
